ABOUT THE CODE of V.I.E. SERIES:

You have probably noticed that today we live in an age driven by money, power and technological advances. Life should be more simple, but has somehow become more complex. Consequently most of the world functions on a fast-pace. The cause-effect relationship is obvious. We are under more stress and more strain than ever experienced in the history of human-kind.

Have there been effects on our lifestyle?  YES!  Rising numbers of cancers, diabetes, obesity, depression, violence and contagious diseases.

Is there any hope?  YES!   Look around you. You probably notice, among the mad rush there is someone walking around smiling more than others.  So you noticed that some individuals appear to be ahead of the game. They realize that they can lead a better quality of life, prevent preventable illnesses, overcome adversity and be happy while enjoying the advances of the 21 century. These people are growing in numbers and are paving the way for sustainability of humans and the planet. What are their winning strategies?

We know that the activities that we engage in on a daily basis consume us and our planet.  Time is limited: we have no time to reflect on the basics.  Time is a precious commodity.  Each day we select how to use our time. Most often we revert to quick fixes like medication to help us through the day. However, we can instead follow basic steps in our every day living to help us deal with any situation positively.

We have the power to create our happiness in this life time.

Yes, life is an adventure, an amazing one We live and learn through the adventure. Love and happiness is the essence of life and crucial to the journey. When we love our self we strive for wellness and achieve peace and happiness. We respect our body, mind and soul. We are able to function at our optimum and contribute to our planet. Happiness is sustainable. 

When we love our self, we are in harmony with nature, we radiate positive energies and happiness- these energies affect those around us and those whom our work touches.

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE in this journey of ours today. Why wait until tomorrow? Time is ticking.  Tick, tock!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr. Vie

"I was raised in the land of Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi and my late father Mr. Vie - three incredible individuals who left their mark on the history of South Africa. When I think about these souls the image of the rising sun comes to my mind - energy.

Mahatma Gandhi spent 21 years of his life in my home town in South Africa to bring freedom to our people. He initiated Satyagraha there. When he returned to India he practiced Satyagraha in his movement to lead India to its freedom. Our first democratically elected president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela was also influenced by Satyagraha - he spent 27 years of his life in prison while embracing love for our people. One of my father's popular quotes was "if someone plants thorns for you, plant roses for him." My father rose above the adversity of apartheid to leave his mark on South African industry."

"My up-bringing in the land of South Africa and my Indian lineage instilled many of the values that I hold dear today. I grew up singing the phrase " Nkosi Sikeleli Africa, Mandela will be freed some day."  Raised with 4 languages I gleaned much from the diverse cultures around me. I learned first hand about the power of love, the power of forgiveness and the power of belief in one's self.

My work as an adult has been focused on the field of health, and has taken me to five countries. Through my work  and my travels around the globe I have experienced close interactions with a multitude of cultures, age groups, socio-economic groups and humans facing interesting challenges.

I have been blessed to meet extraordinary people around the globe who focus on the power of love to enjoy lasting peace and happiness. These individuals reap immense inner joy from sharing their knowledge on the simple ways of achieving love and peace. Several of these individuals will be contributing to the series, I hope that you can too,' says Dr. Vie.

By overcoming adversity we gain inner strength.  The good news is that self development is part of the journey of life. We have all heard of the phrase: Things happen for a reason. Yes for our self growth.

I came to my realization of the code on a sunny day in December 2002 as I stood at my Father's grave in South Africa. It is now my time to share it with you." says Dr. Vie.
